En jeux: children's voices in humanitarian aid
Gathering the perceptions of children receiving humanitarian aid by inviting them to collectively create board games.
Open the notebookMy work focuses on commons, co-design, playful learning, health promotion and embodiment. I am an affiliated researcher at Concordia University (Montreal) and at the IUC of Turin.
Researchers create or reinforce certain realities, if only by formulating their questions. I therefore prefer traceable reasoning to conventional reproducibility.
Complexity cannot be reduced to a few parameters. I value transdisciplinarity and an iterative process, in which methods and contents emerge from creative work.
Aware of my privileges, I promote participatory action research: I find it unethical not to contribute to a world where all living beings can live with dignity and sovereignty. Research strategies are developed jointly, within critical and emancipatory approaches.
To collect data, I favour mixed methods, especially unstructured or semi-structured interviews. To analyse them, meta-narratives and methods in which plural realities coexist.
I share openly throughout the research, with open archives and research notebooks as the basis for publications.
Doctoral thesis
What if we collectively had the capacity to overcome any crisis in a matter of days?
Healing Communities (Concordia University, 2023) describes a method for teams of teams to listen to each other, agree on priorities, pool resources and create few but essential and freely adaptable solutions.
